Artists Katharine Rowe and Emily Harris come together to celebrate the height of Spring in their exhibition of new work - Fresh Air.
“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night and spring after winter.”
Through a shared love of the ever-inspiring abundance of nature, Fresh Air details each artist’s relationship to the earth. Holding a shared use of colour, the work details ecologies of Costa Rica, Spain, the Scottish Isles and closer to home in Cannizaro Park. Relevant to the current climate conversation, Fresh Air pronounces the feelings each place evokes – awe, home and joy.
